My first opportunity working for a magazine was the Philadelphia Business Journal. This was the fourth largest magazine in Philadelphia and NJ with a weekly circulation of over 100,000. My job was to design the cover, charts and informational graphics for each issue. Later in my career, I worked at the City of Pompano Beach in the Public Information Department. This department was responsible for relaying information to over 100,000 residents. We created the quarterly "Trade Winds" 40 page magazine specifically for this purpose. I was the designer, writer, editor and photographer for Trade Winds magazine and I also handled all aspects of its printing.
The majority of the scenes on the Trade Winds covers were created using multiple photos. Many of the locations and subjects did not exist.
